Trenbolone Side Effects: What You Need to Know Before Using Tren

Muscular young man - Trenbolone side effects

Trenbolone, also known as tren by the bodybuilding community, is no stranger to the fitness scene. It’s one of the most widely-used steroids available. People rely on it to get a good boost in their workouts, but it’s no secret that there are  some Trenbolone side effects, so it’s not exactly safe; no steroids are.

So, when fitness-enthusiasts who want to maximize their potential for gains take this steroid, they need to be aware of the potential side effects, of which there are quite a few.

If you’re considering taking Trenbolone, you may be curious as to what the side effects actually are. Some are mild, while some are pretty serious, and possibly even deadly.

We’ll go over what Trenbolone is, the possible tren side effects, and a case that you should know about before going in.

What is Trenbolone

Chemical structure of Trenbolone acetate anabolic-androgenic steroid

Trenbolone is a very well-known anabolic-androgenic steroid derived from a substance known as nandrolone, which is another synthetic steroid. It was initially created back in the 60s to increase the appetite of cattle and enhance muscle growth while lowering body fat.

Because nandrolone tended to be absorbed quickly without much potential for muscle growth, it was combined with other chemicals and soon became Trenbolone. Fast forward to today and now it’s being made in underground labs and sold (often illegally) to those who want to gain more muscle, and fast. However, like every steroid on the market, there are consequences.

Tren has quite a few side effects, but you’re not going to get a stroke from using it just once; it’s all about moderation and frequency. The chances of experiencing them only heighten the more you take and the longer you go on it, which is why it’s important to always know how much to take and how long a cycle should be.

If you are unsure or you don’t want to commit yet, it’s a good idea to start with a safe alternative like legal steroids, in this case trenorol is a good choice.

Here are the Trenbolone side effects you should be aware of:

Tren Cough

Tren cough is a term commonly used to refer to the violent coughing fit during or directly after an injection. This is because your blood vessels tend to narrow immediately after steroid injection, leading to the lungs reacting harshly.

Trensomnia

Difficulty sleeping is very common for men and women on Tren. The most popular belief is that it’s due to Tren causing an increase of hypocretin, which is the compound responsible for keeping us awake.

Hormone Levels

For men who take trenbolone, their bodies will begin to decrease their production of testosterone, which is vital for men’s health. This can take a while to return, and in some rare cases, hormone levels are permanently damaged.

Fertility

Tren has shown to cause major issues when it comes to fertility, and mostly in women. There is no evidence that Tren causes birth defects, and there are some studies suggesting that the steroid’s effect on men can lead to reduced fertility. It hits hardest with women, though, who are unable to take as much Tren as men do without risking permanent infertility. Because of this, women need to be especially vigilant about how much they take and should always do their research on the best amounts for great gains with minimal side effects.

Cognitive issues

People who take Trenbolone commonly report significant feelings of aggressiveness. In fact, in a study done in Griffith University, it was found that those currently on Trenbolone had less patience and were more prone to negative outbursts. These tended to have drastic effects on the person’s relationships with friends and family.

Liver Health

When it comes to your liver, Trenbolone might just be a pretty big problem. Some anecdotes state that any damage to your liver is minimal and inconsequential, but there is research showing that it can lead to severe liver toxicity, which can lead to further liver problems, which can even be fatal.

Cardiovascular Health

It’s been proven that anabolic-androgenic steroids like Tren can cause serious cardiovascular problems. It can also cause a rise in blood pressure and triglycerides, as well as contribute to heart enlargement and reduce the flexibility of blood vessels. If that isn’t enough, Tren also has a strong negative impact on one’s cholesterol levels. With all this combined, Trenbolone can increase a person’s risk of possibly having a stroke or heart attack.

Trenbolone Side Effects and Cardiovascular Health: A Case Study

Concept - Trenbolone Cardiovascular Health Side Effects

Unfortunately, many tend to deny the very real risks of steroids like Trenbolone, which is a shame, because they can be life-ruining. This goes especially for one’s cardiovascular health, where Tren damage could possibly be life-ending. These aren’t just hypotheses, either. There are real world examples, and many tend to brush these off by pointing out their youth. After all, what are the chances of a man at the age of 23 having a heart attack?

The chances are very rare, but very possible.

How a 23-Year-Old Had a Heart Attack

Vials of the steroid trenbolone

An unnamed 23-year-old man who was wheeled into the emergency room, suffering great epigastric pain since the last day. He had no prior history of heart disease, and was just treated for his symptoms and discharged soon after. He came back a few days later with the same complaints, with the pain radiating to his left arm and accompanied by nausea.

Once it was revealed that he frequently used Trenbolone, he had to be admitted to a cardiovascular ward, because it turned out he was suffering from the effects of a myocardial infarction, also known as a heart attack.

This, as you might already know, is not normal. A heart attack is a very age-related condition, with only a few exceptions, like pre-existing conditions. Around half of heart attacks happen to people under the age of 50, and the chances get even lower the younger the person is. So, someone getting a heart attack at the age of 23 is almost unheard of. However, it happened, and it was apparently due to “chronic” Trenbolone consumption. While his case might be rare, it’s been seen before, and most often in frequent steroid users.

When someone takes Tren, they run the risk of causing problems for their cardiovascular system, which can include hypertension, impaired diastolic filling, thrombosis, left ventricular hypertrophy, and polycythemia. These can all have drastic effects later down the line, and could potentially end your life, especially if you’re someone who is older and using Tren. This is why it’s important to take Tren in moderation as much as you can, and this includes taking long breaks between cycles for your body to recover.

One last thing about the 23-year-old man who had a heart attack: had he not admitted he frequently used Tren, there is a chance his heart attack would have gone undiscovered. This is because young people with no history of heart disease are almost always ruled out for the possibility of suffering a heart attack. If you are going to the doctor, you always need to be upfront with them about your usage; this is not an option. If you are suffering from a potentially fatal condition, knowing about your usage could save you. You’re not going to get into any sort of trouble, though you might receive a light scolding.

Final Thoughts

In the end, whether or not you use Tren is completely up to you. It’s your body, after all; it’s not like anyone’s going to stop you. However, it’s always important that you keep yourself informed on the possible damages that Tren can do to your body, whether it be from a cough to an eventual heart attack.

Some are very common and some are very rare, but each is still very possible. Don’t go in thinking you’ll somehow be immune to the Trenbolone side effects.

No matter what, though, we do wish you luck on your fitness journey. Just remember to stay hydrated and always do your warm-ups before an exercise.
